Founded in 1992 and consists of towns primarily in Bergen County.
The NJYRHA promotes a non-checking, light contact game that follows a traditional hockey format with three 20 minute periods. Penalties will be called by game officials.
The season concludes with playoffs for most teams and an All-Star game.
Participation on a NJYRHA team is limited to a team's home area (Washington Twp/Westwood). However, each team may add players from outside the home area provided that added player's home town does not participate in this league.
