BYSA Board Meeting
American Legion @ 7:00pm
Officers & Officials in Attendance: President (Jason Harness), Secretary (Avery Earls), District Representative / Ref Coordinator (Ryan Wardlow).
All in Attendance: Member at Large (Carrie Elliott), Mary McMullen, Robyn Bohl, Dave Taggert, David Schellenberger.
New Business
~Mick McMullen is stepping down as Treasurer.
~The Board voted unanimously to add Robyn Bohl as BYSA Treasurer.
~The Board voted unanimously to add Robyn Bohl to the BYSA Key Bank checking account.
~Dick’s is having a BYSA 20% off sale July 21st and 22nd. Flyers will be at the concession stand with the soccer camp forms if you want to pick one up. This will also be posted on FB and the website to be printed.
~U6 needs more players. Contact Ryan Wardlow to get signed up.
~Field Day July 29th from 4-6. Practice field time signup available during 4-6.
~Coaches meeting July 29th @ Bethel American Legion @ 6pm.
~Ohio South Kid Safe must be renewed for ALL COACHES.
~Batavia is hosting a Skills Training. More details to follow.
~Coaches Clinic put on by HS coaches to show what they need from youth players when they get to HS. More details to follow.
~Soccer Camps
Adding sign up forms for both camps at the BYSA concession stand, outside wall by window. Updating FB every week with soccer camp info and pictures – Avery Earls

Bethel High School Camp – July 23 - 25 at the Legion Fields for ages 4 to 14. The cost is $30 for all sessions (includes shirt) OR $10 per session (no shirt). Please see the FB page for more details.

~Ohio South Kid Safe must be renewed for ALL COACHES.
~Ref Class for 1st and 2nd year is July 28th from 12-6 at the American Legion.
~Ref Class for 3rd year and higher is July 29th from 3-5 at the American Legion.

~Fall Sign Ups posted on FB and the website.
Fliers were sent home the last week of school.
In-Person sign ups Saturday June 9th and Saturday June 16th.
June 22nd is the deadline for Fall Registration.
~Lt. Welch from the Bethel-Tate FD advised that No Parking Signs will be put up on Legion Ln to mark the Fire Lane.

***ARTICLE VI MEMBERSHIP AND VOTING RIGHTS*** Any parent, or legal guardian, who has a child registered in a soccer program sponsored by this organization, and any coach, assistant coach, or administrative official, regardless of whether he or she has as child in the program, constitutes membership. Membership entitles an individual to one vote on general issues and in the election of officers, as well as the opportunity to be nominated and elected as an officer, provided all obligations have been met and they have attended at least one prior meeting within the past 12 months. A meeting shall include any BYSA board meeting, coaches meeting or field day.

~CCSA made some rule changes that go in effect immediately. First GU11 and GU12 divisions have been merged together. They will play 9v9. The next change is select players are now allowed to play in our league while still on their club teams. This starts immediately with the following rules. A team can have no more than 2 select players on the roster and they have to be approved through the special request committee of CCSA.

~Went over the bank account balance and what has been paid and what needs paid.
~Discussed BYSA uniform option. A special meeting will be set to look at the uniform deals and how to offer this to coaches at discounted prices. More details to follow.

~CCSA made some rule changes that go in effect immediately. First GU11 and GU12 divisions have been merged together. They will play 9v9. The next change is select players are now allowed to play in our league while still on their club teams. This starts immediately with the following rules. ~BYSA Youth Soccer Camp sponsored by BTHS. Camp dates are June 5th – 9th for ages 14-18 at the High School from 6pm to 8pm. It is $75.00 per player. On July 24th -26th for ages 6-13 @ the BYSA Fields from 6pm to 8pm. It is $30.00 per player. These camps are open to any player from any district. Each player will receive a T-Shirt and over 30+ years of soccer knowledge from the trainers.
