The 2010 version of the Brooklin/Whitby Fall Classic was a big success in most peoples eyes. There were a few hiccups along the way, the biggest being the last minute change in one of the parks locations but a quick response to the problem and fast communication with the effected coaches, smoothed the issue out nicely.

After some great weather on Saturday for the Round Robin games, 8 teams advanced into the play-offs on Sunday.

The Quarter-Finals saw the following match-ups and results:

Toronto Cardinals (1st Div. "A") vs. Oshawa Banana Slugs (2nd Div. "B")
Cardinals defeated Banana Slugs 14-2

Newmarket Express (1st Div. "B") vs. Mississauga Red Sox (2nd Div. "A")
Express defeated Red Sox 7-0

Whitby Chiefs (1st Div. "C") vs Clarington Cubs (2nd Div. "D")
Chiefs defeated Cubs 5-0

Oshawa Royals Alumni (2nd Div. "C") vs Oshawa Athletics (1st Div. "D")
Athletics defeated Royals Alumni 5-0

This would leave four teams for the Semi-Finals, with one of those teams being the 2009 Fall Classic Champion Toronto Cardinals.

So the Brooklin/Whitby 2010 Fall Classic Final was set and there would be a new champion for the fourth year in a row.

Congratulations to the NEWMARKET EXPRESS for winning the Brooklin/Whitby 2010 Fall Classic.

The 2009 Brooklin/Whitby Fall Classic took place at several fields in the Durham Region. These parks were Clarington Fields (Bowmanville), E.A. Fairman (Whitby), Ritson Field (Oshawa) and Kinsmen Stadium (Oshawa). The tournament grew to include 12 teams in 3 divisions.

With 12 teams, there were a total of 7 new teams from the previous year.

2008 Brooklin/Whitby Fall Classic champions - YORK DIAMONDS

2007 was the first year that the Brooklin Dodgers and Whitby Chiefs got together to host the Fall Classic. It was a true fall tournament as the weather though there was no rain it was bitterly cold all weekend.

The whole tournament was held at Clarington Fields two diamonds. The north one having a temporary mound in place.

We are currently searching for the results from the tournament which have been filed away. We will update this section as soon as we uncover them.

We do know the teams and divisions and the eventual finalists and the tournament winner.
