We use our available funds to pay for playing equipment, softballs, uniforms, trophies, insurance, advertising, umpire fees, field maintenance (we pay to maintain our fields), etc.. Registration fees alone do not cover the expenses necessary to maintain our organization. To avoid raising registration fees and to help improve our facilities, we ask that everyone participate in one or more of our many fundraisers. Below are some of our current fundraising activities. Please help us keep the community in our community girls' softball program. If you own a business or know someone that owns a business, please print out the attached sponsorship letter or direct a business owner to our web page. We need everyone to get the word out to meet our goals for the upcoming season. In our efforts to move our program forward, we need help from local businesses to raise funds to continue to upgrade equipment, fields and to offer additional opportunities for our girls. Over the past few years, we offered Fall Instructional Softball and Free Pitching Clinics. Continuing with our community theme, we also re-established our Havenwood Scholarship Program to give back to one or two college bound players, each year. Sponsorships allow us to maintain loaner equipment and keep registration fees low, thereby giving more girls an opportunity to participate. We can not do this alone. If everyone can help get the word out, that Havenwood is looking for support from businesses and members of our community, we stand a better chance at meeting our goals and making Havenwood Community Girls Softball a better place for our girls.
