BASEBALL Tournament Rules
Subscribe to our NewsletterHOT Premier Tournaments utilizes USSSA rules and guidelines for tournament play. If you don't have a copy of the rules, visit our LINKS page.
We expect each team to play by the rules, use discretion, be respectful and play baseball to the best of their ability. If you have a conflict with another coach, a parent or an umpire, be an adult and try to work it out. If you can't do that, find a on-site director or tournament representative and we will handle it for you.
Each tournament will have specific rules for onsite conduct and restrictions. Each will be outlined accordingly as a tournament approaches.
Some obvious rules to live by:
- Respect the portable mounds and the facility that is allowing you to pitch off of it. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR METAL SPIKES ON ANY PORTABLE MOUND.
- Please respect other peoples ears, if/when you have music playing during your teams warm-ups, don't forget that your team is not the only team in the complex and respect other people's ears.
- Most complexes you will be playing in have a, NO FOOD OR DRINK OR COOLERS policy, so please don't try to hide that dozen donuts in your baseball equipment wagon. Most of the complex revenue comes from food and beverage sales. Coolers with ice may be brought in by the head coach.
- Any team playing in any of our tournaments are required to have current team insurance. God forbid you ever need it, but make sure a copy comes with you to all of our tournaments.
- All BRACKET games that are tied at the end of regulation will result in a California tie breaker format until a winner is decided. Last out on 2nd with 2 outs. All Championship games will continue until a winner is decided.
- USSSA Baseball rules precede all other rules. Any rules not addressed by USSSA will be deferred to UIL/High School Federation Rules.
We reserve the right to make changes or add to these rules and guideline without prior notice, so we advise you check back often.
