2015 League Rules
COST- $500 per team. Teams must also pay umpires $20 for each game per team.
1. Teams play double headers- two games 6 innings long
2. All games can be played Monday - Thursday.
3 Starting times are 6:30 for Mondays & Wednesday -7:45pm for Tuesdays & Thursdays. Forfeit time is 8:00
4. We will be determining how many regular season games each team plays
5. All teams will advance to playoffs . Playoff format is double elimination
6. All bats will be supplied by the league
7. Open roster with 5 games minimum required to be eligible for playoffs
8. Each team is responsible for having a set of bases. Balls will be supplied to the teams near the beginning of the season.
9. Any forfeited game is a loss. Three (3) forfeits and you are out of the league. $20 for each forfeit will needed to pay the umpire in the event you do not notify the league 24 hours before your forfeit.
10. All scores must be submitted by the winning team to the league website by Sunday of the current week. Any game not reported on Monday will be scored a tie.
12. Once the game begins, the umpire is in full charge and will determine the playing conditions and or the continuation of the games.
13. Team managers will be responsible for the behavior of their players. Umpires are instructed not to tolerate any unsportsmanlike behavior. This is an absolute must. The league will not tolerate any misconduct and players or teams will be ejected from the league.
14. Players can only play with one team in the league. A player wishing to change teams must have league approval.
15. Eight players are needed to begin a game. Players may be added at any time once a game begins up to 10. If you have 8 player at game time you MUST start.
16. Tie breakers are;
A) head to head.
B) Head-to-Head run differential.
C) Least amount of runs given up for the league
17. Extra players may play in the field with the re-entry rule. E.P. may also split the game with another player. Starters may re-enter only once if taken out of the game.
18. Teams will be allowed 1 courtesy runner per inning
19. Base runners must slide or avoid contact at any base that a play is being attempted. No stealing or bunting is allowed.
20. A base runner can leave the base once the ball has crossed home plate.
21. A USSSA strike zone will be used. Three foot from release of the ball to 10 foot off the ground
22. Batter starts with a 1-1 count and no courtesy foul
23. Mercy rule is 20 after 3, 15 after 4, and 10 after 5.
24. 2 Home runs per game, then 1 up. You cannot go 1 up in the bottom of the last inning.
25 HALO Rule: If you hit the pitcher with a batted ball so that they could not field it nor defend themselves, the batter will be out and offensively ejected. The player will continue to play the field but no longer bat. You may walk as many batters to get to the automatic out in the lineup and you may end the game on an automatic out.
