Kevin Sefcik Varsity Head Coach
Coach Sefcik enters his 4th season as head coach of the Redhawk's. In his 3 seasons the Redhawks have compiled a record of 60-51, Coach Sefcik has help guide Marist to back-to-back Regional Championships in 2015 & 2016. The Redhawks have had two tough years of losses in the Sectional Semifinal games. In 2015, Marist lost 4-3 in 9 innings to eventual state champion Providence Catholic and in 2016, Marist lost in 10 innings 8-7 to Lincolnway North. The Redhawks have also competed in the IHSCA Summer State tournament in 2015 and 2016 summer season. In 2015, the Redhawks advanced to their first State Championship final game, but ended up losing 2-0 to Lincolnway North. In 2016, Marist lost 8-5 to Brother Rice in the Regional Championship Game. The RedHawks were 16-19 in 2017. The RedHawks started on any given day 5 sophomores so 2018 should be another good season with a lot of experience returning. In coach Sefcik's 3 years the RedHawks have sent 15 players off the play college baseball ranging from Division 1 to junior college. Coach Sefcik resides in Orland Park with his bride Margie and their three sons Zach, Luke and Cal.

Dan Higgins Assistant Varsity Coach and Pitching Coach
Coach Higgins has coached at Marist since the spring of 2013. He enters his 3rd year on the varsity staff after being the head sophomore coach from 2013-2015. Coach Higgins will be the head pitching coach during the 2018 Varsity season. Dan is a 2005 graduate of Marist High School. After his high school career, coach Higgins played college baseball at University of St. Francis, Joliet Illinois. In 2008, Dan was named first team NAIA All American. Coach Higgins is also currently a teacher at Marist, in the history department. Coach Higgins resides in Westmont and was just recently married to his bride Brin in October

Rich Robin Assistant Varsity Coach and Catching Coach
Coach Robin begins enters his 4th season as assistant varsity coach. His duties during the 2018 season will be lead catching instructor, assistant hitting coach and third base coach. Coach Robin is a Marist graduate from the class of 1988 and also was a teammate of Coach Sefcik at St. Xavier from 1990-1992. Coach Robin played multiple positions in college but settled in at catcher his last 2 seasons. During his time at St. Xavier he was an outstanding hitter, being able to hit for both average and power. Coach Robin resides in Naperville and has two sons Nolan and Charlie.

Lucas Fritsch Head Sophomore Coach
Lucas enters his first season with the Redhawks. He is a graduate of St. Xavier University with a major in biology and a minor in education. Lucas played for St. Xavier University and attended Carl Sandburg high school. Lucas was a pitcher at St. Xavier and is currently 10th all time in appearances and 10th all time in saves. Lucas has 4 previous years of coaching high school baseball and has also spent the past 8 years coaching in the Cangelosi Sparks program.
