8 Year Old Boys (3rd grade) and 9 Year Old Girls (4th grade):
+ Instructional/Competitive Program – Focus on game fundamentals, rules of the game and play in league and tournament games.
+ Coaches strive to work within 10-12 player rotation
+ Playing rotation allows for players to experience regulation game situations but does not guarantee equal playing time.
+ 5th quarter play* is strictly for the bottom 5 players on the team.
+ Non-rotational players will use the 5th quarter and practice time as their opportunities to advance into the team’s core playing rotation.
+ Program developed and guided by Travel Program Advisor and Executive Board

+ Competitive Level - Coaches strive to work within a 7-8 players rotation. Playing rotation allows for players to experience regulation game situations but does not guarantee equal playing time.
+ Non-rotational players will use the 5th quarter* and practice time as their opportunities to advance into the team’s core playing rotation.
+ By 7th & 8th grade a team’s core playing rotation should be well established and should represent the team’s most competitive opportunity within travel play.
*During Tournament and/or a Travel Games where no 5th quarter is played, a coach may attempt to manage his bench so that non-rotational players have an opportunity to participate in the 1st half of the contest.
