GO RANGERS!
Yankees Vs 7U Rangers-Royal
GO RANGERS!
On Wednesday, the Rangers Royal faced a tough division opponent--the NTX Angels. The boys in blue came out strong on defense in the 1st, holding the hard-charging Angels to 1 run. Then the Rangers came to the plate, scoring the max 5 runs off home runs by Jacob, David and Owen. After two innings, it was tight, 7-6. In the third inning, the Rangers really clamped down defensively, with Thomas (2B) getting a piece of all 3 outs. The Rangers held the Angels scoreless, and then drove home 4 runs at the bottom of the third, capped by another homerun down the 3rd baseline by Owen (3 in the game!!!). The Rangers held on in the 4th and eventually out-gunned the Angels 15-11! One more game left before the playoffs! Let's beat the Yankees. Go Rangers!
River Bandits Vs 7U Rangers-Royal
Mets Vs 7U Rangers-Royal
The Rangers Royal defeated the Mets today 14-0. Playing 8 games in the past two weeks, the Ranger bats were still hot. Every player on the team recorded a hit in the game. Thomas, David, and Gage each hit triples, and Christopher and Jacob pounded home runs into the outfield! The boys were solid defensively as well. In the first inning, the Mets hit the ball to the outfield, and tried to stretch for a double, when Thomas (RF) and Davis (SS) teamed up for a nifty out at 2nd. In the 2nd, Harper made a head's up play at 1st tagging the runner as he rounded for second. And in the play of the game, Owen robbed the Mets of a sure extra-base hit down the third base line when he snagged a hard hit line drive out of the air in the 4th inning. It was a great outing all the way around. Way to go Rangers! Keep it up!
RANGERS PLAYED A GREAT GAME TODAY!!!! We played together and stood toe to toe with the best team we have played by a mile. They made every routing play and cut off balls in the outfield, that is when we were not knocking over there heads or deep in the gap.
We all hit and made some unbelievable plays Cameron had several at first and third base, Nicholas made several at first and Easton made a line drive in the outfield that would have been a home run or triple look routine and held down third as well.
Texas Tigers Vs 7U Rangers Royal
June 6, 2011
Playing their 7th game in 10 days, the Rangers Royal suffered their first league loss against the Texas Tigers on Monday 11-8. The Rangers had all they could handle against the Texas Tigers. The Rangers played good defense from the start, and had two 2-out rallies during the game to keep the game tight into the 4th inning. The highlight of the game was a crushing HR by David with two outs driving in the 5th run in the top of the 4th giving the Rangers a 2 run lead. But in the end, the Rangers came up a little short. The defensive play of the day was Jacob's catch in centerfield which almost led to a double play. The Rangers hope to rebound against the Mets on Wednesday!
Go Rangers!
In the first game of a Saturday double-header, the boys in blue defeated the White Sox 11-0 in 3 innings. A little pre-game BP goes a long way! The Rangers were red hot from the start against, scoring the max runs in each official inning. Offensive highlights include a home run by Jacob in the 1st inning, and triples by JJ and David later in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Michael and Christopher also hit back-to-back triples in extra innings. The Rangers were solid all the way around. It was a great start on a steaming hot day!

Go Rangers!
Outstanding game today Rangers!!!! We were down 4 to 2, then we tie it up 4 to 4 in the fourth and then in the fifth inning we score 5 runs and then the Red Sox have four runs in and no outs with runners on first and second and PJ makes the play of the game snaring a line drive and immediately throwing to Nicholas at first base, who hustles and gets the double play. Everyone did an excellent job of listening and hustling today!
7U Rangers-Royal Vs Texas Tigers
5/7/2011
Another impressive victory for the Rangers-Royal against a really tough opponent, the Texas Tigers. Highlighting a spectacular pitching performance, the team really pounded the ball on their way to a 17-11 win! The Rangers scored the max 5 runs in three out of the four innings, without suffering a single strikeout! The 3rd inning was key for the Rangers defensively. Gage and Jacob teamed up for a double play on a tag out between 1st and 2nd and a throw to 1st. Owen recorded the 3rd out, snagging a fly ball at third base. The Rangers held the Tigers to only one run. David and Davis also made key catches during the game, stifling an offensive surge by the Tigers. All the hard work in practice is paying off on the field! Keep up the good work Rangers!

Wednesday night, the Rangers took the field for their first night game of the season against the Volcanoes. The boys did not look rusty after their 10-day layoff. The bats were hot with all the boys getting hits off the coach. The highlight of the evening was the Rangers defense, recording 3 outs in the first inning with Zach manning first; for which Jaxon delighted the crowd with his celebration dance on the mound. The following innings showcased outs from Cooper at first, Noah with a great tag at 3rd, and Easton. Drew also had a wonderful tag on a runner at third, minus the ball, but that’s just a minor technicality “ump”. Great game boys!
Go Rangers!
With Game 1 of the Spring 2010 Season a week away, the Rangers Royal held their first scrimmage Friday against their in-town rivals, the Tigers. The bats were hot for all the boys and Jaxon hitting a sizzler past the outfield. In the 1st inning, J.J. made a huge stop at short and threw to Andrew for a great catch at first. Thomas caught his first pop fly of the season at second, that almost had Coach Todd doing back flips. In the 2nd, Hudson made two big outs at third to finish the game. Great hustle by all!
5U Rangers Royal vs. Lugnuts
The Rangers Royal were on the field early on Saturday to take on the Lugnuts. Coach Tim made his return to coach 1st base on his “pirate” leg and Coach Todd was at 3rd base to deliver batting helmet drum beats and bear hugs. The Rangers had the bats working all day with good hits, great hustle and homeruns from Drew and Griffin. Even with an early start, the defense was not asleep and had many good stops from Jeffrey and Andrew. Easton led the team from the pitchers mound while Adam came in as the closer to finish the game. Great game boys!
At the Ballpark at Preston Meadows on Saturday, the Rangers Royal battled the Cardinals in the grueling Texas sun. The Rangers got out to an early lead with the bats as hot as the day. Easton and Jeffrey had big hits to the grass and Drew and Thomas W. finished each inning with base clearing homeruns. Griffin was the starting pitcher with Eric coming in for relief in the second inning. The Rangers defense showed great team hustle even following hits to the grass. Adam found a brief moment to wave to his Aunt Tami Joe in between stops. Eric closed the game with a big stop at the mound and made a valiant attempt to get the force out at home. Great hustle boys!
5U Rangers Royal vs. Angels
After a week off, the boys were back on the “dirt diamond” versus the Angels on Saturday. With Coach Tim on Injured Reserve, Coach Bill, Coach Glen and Coach Chris were called up to lead the charge. The Rangers starting pitcher was Klayson with Jeffrey pitching in relief in the 2nd inning. While the Angels came with some heavy bats and big hits, the Rangers were ready with defensive stops by several players. Some even required a little dance or a wave to mom afterwards. The Ranger bats were hot with Jeffery and Drew hitting homeruns in the 1st and 2nd respectively, and Thomas Spencer started off the 2nd by breaking the Angel’s tee. The Rangers were scoring runs so quickly; Jake had to stop short of Home plate to wait for Coach Chris to move the tee so that he could touch home for a score.
Next Up: Cardinals vs. Rangers
May 17, 2008
After a rain out on Saturday, the boys were back in action on Sunday versus the Rangers in pinstripes. The boys showed their enthusiasm to be back on the playing field with great team effort to stop every ball – Ranger tackle t-ball style. Easton even threw a few from his knees – what an arm! The Rangers starting pitcher was Drew and closing the action on the mound was Thomas W. Practice is really paying off in batting with several hits making it to the outfield or further. As Noah reached 1st base, he exclaimed to a coach, “I hit it all the way to the outfield; almost to the grass!” After scoring a run and heading to the dugout, Jeffrey had a special wave for Dad to pass along to his new baby sister, Ellie, whom they welcomed on Friday. Congratulations Armstrong Family! Ranger homeruns today to finish out each inning came from Andrew and Adam.
