Summary of Rules

Pitch Count Rules

International

·         9 YO Pitch from the Rubber

·         8 YO start season pitching from 40 feet using Safety Ball until midpoint of season then ALL pitchers pitch from rubber (actual date determined by League Coordinator)

·         There must be 5 innings (15 outs) pitched by an 8 YO Pitcher & at least 1 inning per game

·         5 run rule each inning

·         3 stolen bases per inning

·         Shortly before the befor the end of the regular season - Teams will be able to steal home 1 time per inning (actual date determined by League Coordinator)

·         5 inning game (2 Hour Time Limit) – actually innings played will be determined by Umpire & Confirmed with Managers based on pace of game NO INNING WILL BEGIN AFTER 1:45 AFTER STAR OF GAME

·         All players play a minimum 1 fully inning (3 consecutive outs) in infield

·         No Standings

·         Managers are responsible for keeping track of player pitch counts

8 YO Max 50 (per day)

9 YO Max 75 (per day)

Minors

·         5 run rule each inning except last inning unlimited

·         3 stolen bases per inning including 1 of home

·         At 2 week point of season – base stealing will become unlimited

·         6 inning game (2 Hour Time Limit) ) – actually innings played will be determined by Umpire & Confirmed with Managers based on pace of game ON A SCHOOL NIGHT NO INNING WILL BEGIN AFTER 1:45 AFTER STAR OF GAME - ON THE WEEKENDS TEAMS PLAY FULL GAME

·         All players play a minimum 2 fully innings (6 outs) in infield during regular season

·         Standings count

·         Managers are expected to confirm with opposing team & report all game results following their game (Score; W-L; Pitch Counts; HR's) to League Coordinator

·         CALL UP PLAYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PITCH OR CATCH

·         REGULAR SEASON WINNER REPRESENTS SUFFERN LITTLE LEAGUE IN MINOR LEAGUE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

Majors

·         11 YO Pitchers must be used for 65 pitches per week (Each Week Runs Monday to Sunday)

·         "Drop 3^rd Strike" is in play

·        Each Player must play a minimum of 3 innings per game in the field

·         Managers are expected to confirm with opposing team & report all game results following their game (Score; W-L; Pitch Counts; HR's) to League Coordinator

·         Standings Count

·         CALL UP PLAYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PITCH OR CATCH

·         REGULAR SEASON WINNER REPRESENTS SUFFERN LITTLE LEAGUE IN COUNTY TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
