Where to Begin?

New to the sport of hockey? Welcome to the most exciting youth sport today! Roller hockey is similar to ice hockey, but played with four skaters and a goalie. No checking is allowed, and there is no offsides or icing. This gives players more room to skate and more opportunity to touch the puck. Many ice hockey players also play roller hockey because it strengthens stickhandling, passing, and skating skills.

Middle Tennessee has several stores that sell the equipment needed to participate.

• Perani’s Pro Shop (located in both Ford Ice Centers and Centennial Sportsplex)

There are several online hockey stores which can be useful once you know your sizes.
