Opening Day 2021 Highlighted by No Hitter and Extra Innings Walkoff

The Franklin Regional Middle School baseball team showcased brilliant pitching, tremendous team play and paramount heroics in bringing in the 2021 campaign yesterday by defeating rival Gateway 2 - 1.  The Panthers flexed their right arms of NJ Ramchandran and Brady Yarabinetz no hitting the Gators as Yarabinetz and Chase Lemke lead an offense that mustered just enough to outlast their route 22 rivals.  Ramchandran dominated the initial six innings of the season striking out seven and allowing 0 earned runs while Yarabinetz slammed the door on the Gators striking out 4 out the final 6 batters.  Brady also provided the dramatic heroics launching a long fly ball to deep left field in extra innings scoring Lemke for the opening day walkoff triumph.  Lemke scored both runs from his leadoff spot going 2 for 4 with a triple and stolen base while Yarabinetz went 2 for 3 with a double and the clutch game-winning sac fly.
