Our Kentucky United Soccer Club is extremely committed to the “Development of Excellence through Unity” of our youngest players. We completely understand that these young players are the future of our club and because of that, our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy is very focused in providing those players who participate the opportunity to develop into the best player they can be. Our goal each year moving forward with our older select teams (U10 through U12) and competitive teams (U13 and above) is to experience success at the state, regional, and national levels. We look forward to seeing the success continue to grow with more players benefiting from our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy program for many years to come.

ACADEMY PHILOSOPHY

Our academy philosophy is to provide all participating players with a positive, fun, and challenging learning environment. Our emphasis will be on the fundamental “Development of Excellence through Unity” of our players within the game. It is our main objective that the fun and enjoyment of the game will be the most important element for success. The developmental age of the participants in our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy is taken into consideration with our core curriculum. There will be challenges given to our participants as they advance through our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy but, those challenges will be obtainable. Each player will experience self confidence through their development while training in a fun atmosphere.

What is the Kentucky United Soccer Club Pre-Academy Program?

Our Kentucky United Soccer Club Pre-Academy Program is a youth development program designed for players ages 5 and 6. Our Kentucky United Soccer Club Pre-Academy Program provides players the opportunity to develop correctly while preparing them for the next step which is our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy. The program is offered seasonally in the fall, winter, and spring. The format is as follows, training once a week for 30 minutes followed by 30 minutes of small-sided games. Games will be played in a 3v3 or 4v4 “street soccer” format where the coaching staff can adjust according to the week’s lesson. The “street soccer” format allows the coaching staff to rearrange teams, adjust fields, and goals to create an environment that best challenges players, thus preparing them for the next step of our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy.

What is the Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy Program?

Our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy Program is a youth development program designed for players ages 7 and 8. Our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy program provides the developmental bridge between our Kentucky United Soccer Club Pre-Academy and our Kentucky United Soccer Club Select and Competitive Programs. In our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy program, we will form teams in the U8 and U9 age groups. These teams will be together seasonally in the fall, winter, and spring. The format is as follows, training twice a week for 45 minutes followed by 30 minutes of small-sided games. Our Kentucky United Soccer Club Academy teams will participate in various club wide and state wide play dates along with other friendlies. At age U10 these teams will then become part of our Kentucky United Soccer Club Select Program.
