Josh Cyprian
Boys Lacrosse 2016-17 Season Head Coach
Coach Cyprian is a 2006 graduate of Newnan High School. He played defensive end for the football team and was also a member of the weight lifting team. Coach Cyprian is in his second year at Evan Middle School as one of the Physical Education teachers and is the head football coach. He has also coached many other sports, including coaching JV lacrosse this year. Before coming back to Coweta County, he coached at Heard County Middle School for two years where he won back to back track titles and took the football team to the finals two years in a row. Coach Cyprian has his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from The University of West Georgia and is currently working on his Master of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Central Missouri.
Ry Skinner
Boys Lacrosse Offensive Coordinator
Coach Ry Skinner is 26 years old from Moreland, GA. Coach Skinner graduated from Newnan High School in 2007. He played club lacrosse for the Cougars and won a NGLL division title. He has 10 Years of lacrosse experience and plays for a local men's club program. He is currently a Specialist in the US Army National Guard. “Hard Work Wins”
Coach Stewart Johnston
Boys Lacrosse Defensive Coordinator
Coach Johnston, also known as “Coach Stew”, is in his third season with the Newnan High School Lacrosse Team, and will be coaching defense for the boys varsity squad. He has completed his second season as the offensive line coach for the Evans Middle School cougars. Coach Johnston is a 2007 graduate from Newnan High School and played Long Pole Defender for the NHS LAX championship club team and also played Offensive Guard for Newnan High School for 4 years. Stewart and his wife, Tiffany, reside in Grantville.
