| Dealing with weather delays and cancellations is never fun. Unfortunately we do not have any control over it. However, we will try to get as many games completed as originally scheduled. This means that we WILL PLAY IN THE RAIN AND MUD IF SAFE. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ASSUME THE GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AS SCHEDULED. NMFL Rules state that only Commissioners, Umpires, and field superintendents have the authority to cancel or suspend games. If a game is canceled, it is the HOME TEAM COMMISSIONER AND/OR COACH REPSONIBILITY TO NOTIFY THE UMPIRES AND THEIR OPPONENT by PHONE AND EMAIL. It is the commissioner/coach responsibility to notify their PLAYERS OF CANCELLATIONS. While some of the organizations have rainout hotlines, the best recommendation is to contact your coach/commissioner as they will have the definitive announcement on game status. If you do call the hotlines, please make sure you listen carefully to the entire message to insure your specific game is canceled.
