La Bella Pizza opened October 19th, 1955 by an Italian couple from New York, Tony and Kitty Raso. The name “La Bella” means “the beautiful” and when a patio garden was added, our name was complete.

In the beginning, Kitty would serve while Tony prepared the meals with their son little Joey running around with a broom. As business grew they hired a dishwasher, and to keep him busy, they introduced delivering pizzas to Chula Vista in 1957.

In 1959, a second son, Tony Jr., was born, also a dining room replaced the patio and the upstairs was made into banquet rooms.

On 1977, Tony known by all as “Papa” promoted a young man, Stan Dale, as the manager; together they enlarged and modernized the kitchen.

In 1992, all the dining rooms were remodeled plus a sports bar was added. The staff has now grown to fifty. Our history is filled with stories of couples holding their wedding reception at La Bella only to have the children grow and have their own reception here.

After forty-five years, Papa and Kitty still come in daily to oversee the quality of your experience, Papa no longer kneads the dough by hand and Kitty does not waitress but the meatball you have eaten is still spiced by Papa. You will still find Kitty giving to South Bay charities and sponsoring their meetings at La Bella’s.

The Cornerstone of our success has been providing a hearty Italian meal in a family atmosphere at down-to-earth prices. Through their sons, Joseph & Tony Raso, and Stan Dale we hope to continue to be proud part of your community for years to come. If there is anything you need, please ask.

Lolita’s Story

Lolita’s Taco Shop was founded by Joaquin and Dolores Farfan in January of 1984 in Chula Vista, California. Together, the Farfan’s have over 40 years of experience in the Mexican Food industry.

Lolita’s has been a San Diego favorite for over 30 years. The original location opened on January 13, 1984 and is located on Telegraph Canyon Road in Chula Vista. The second, located on Bonita Road, opened a few years later on January 28, 1989. Lolita’s opened its’ third location in San Diego on Clairemont Mesa Blvd in 1999.

As the family grew, the business grew, and in late 2001, Lolita’s Taco Shop incorporated under the name Lolita’s Restaurants, Inc. With Joaquin and Dolores still working hard, all six children have joined the team. Lolita’s opened its’ fourth location under the new corporation. This location is also located in Chula Vista and is on East Palomar Street in the Sunbow area.

Lolita’s newest location called “Lolita’s at the Park” is located in the East Village of Downtown San Diego right across from Petco Park.

Lolita’s continues to pride itself by selling quality fresh Mexican food and appreciates all the customers that have shown their loyalty over the years and look forward to meeting new customers.

At Floaties we believe that water safety and water competency are important skills that every child should possess. Living in Southern California, we believe that the earlier your child begins to understand and respect the water the more confident and water safe your child will be. We offer swim classes starting as early as three months of age and progress up to our competitive swim team. Our classes are broken up into three different skill sets.

1. INFANT AQUATICS
   (beginning at 3 months of age)
2. CORE SWIM CLASSES 
   (classes are grouped according to age)
3. STROKES CLASSES and our TRITONS SWIM TEAM 
   (a swim assessment is required for placement)

Each skill set is designed to make your child the best swimmer that they can be. Even at three months we begin to introduce your child to the fundamentals of swimming and water safety. Our small class size (three kids per one instructor), comfortable and trusting atmosphere, and experienced instructors allow for an optimal learning environment. Our entire staff is CPR/AED certified.
