AMERICAN (COACH PITCH) RULES
Batting
A. Each batter receives a maximum of seven pitches.(Except you can keep fouling off the 7 t h,8t h , 9t h,10t etc pitch)
B. Three complete misses of arball while batting constitutes a strike out (Example: The batter Swings and misses the first three pitches, The batter is out.
C. Batting helmets must be used when at bat and running the bases
D. No stealing or leading off is permitted.
E. Throwing the bat is prohibited; one warning per team then the batter will be called out.
F. Any Player in attendance shall be listed in the batting order. Maximum of ten batters per inning.
Fielding
A. Ten players, four in the outfield, are on the field at one time including the pitcher and catcher.
B. You can play with eight players (If you play with eight still bat ten batters by batting two players twice
C. Two coaches may be stationed in the outfield in order to provide instructions to all defensive players
Game
A. A regulation game is six innings.
B. The runners shall be stopped at the base they are going to when the ball bounces in the infield.
C. It is the coaches responsibility to keep the game moving between inning
General Playing Rules
1. Teams must be ready to play at scheduled game times. Any team not ready at game time shall forfeit.
2. Coaches should teach their players to throw to the correct bases and not just to the pitchers mound
3. Each player shall play a minimum of two innings a game in the field, with free substitution (A coach may suspend playing privileges because of a disciplinary problems)
4. Team line-ups must be into scorekeeper ten minutes before the start of the game.
5. Each team is responsible for maintaining a score book
6. Each player shall be given the opportunity to play as many positions as their skill allows during the season. Players should be rotated in positions in order for the children to gain experience and to feel part of the team.(Not for coaches to win games)
7. Parents will not interfere with progress of the game; Parents conduct must be controlled. Failure to follow the rules will result in being asked to leave the playing area
8. Clean up is the responsibility of both teams
9. RIF 5 ball must be used for all games
