The franchise was founded in 1993 by Scott Baldi, Erik Wegelin and TJ Robie.
Bonnell's Softball played 19 seasons. We played in two local leagues every year. We have played in the Erie, McKean, Harborcreek, Franklin and Millcreek modified leagues. We also played in the Niagara League (35 & older). We have also played in the Erie City Recreational Fastpitch League.
Bonnell's have won 25 consecutive modified league titles. Bonnell's won 27 total Modified League titles.
Bonnell's also have won 86 tournament titles including one NATIONAL in 2001, one NIT in 1995, eleven state titles.
We won ASA State Championships in 3 different Divisions (9 Man Modified, 10 Man Modified and Fastpitch).
We have had 15 sponsors: Bonnell's Collision Center (15 years), Marina Inn (4 years), Team Hardinger (4 years), LoCastro Bonini Insurance (2 years), McKean Pizza (1 year), Steel City Sandwich Shop (3 years), DeMarini Sports (4 years), Night Flights (3 years), Dr.Lombardi Chiropractic (4 years), South Erie Beer (1 year), Airways Tavern (4 years), Coach's Bar & Grill (1 year), 84 Lumber (1 year), Oasis Tavern (2 years) and Buffalo Wild Wings (2 years).
The greatness of our organization begins with the players who have over the years adopted our philosphy "Committment to Excellence" and "The Will to Win".
Without the sponsors who have helped us financially, our success would not have been possible. Especially long time sponsor Scott Bonnell and his wonderful family.
Last but not least without the support from the players wives and family's the greatness of Bonnell's softball would not have been achieved.
I would like to THANK all the players, coaches and sponsors who have supported me in any way over my tenure as General Manager of Bonnell's operations.
The GREATNESS of Bonnell's Softball will never be matched again.
