Scholarship Application

The Comox Valley Volleyball Club donates scholarship money each season ($500.00, usually divided amongst two players) to be awarded to graduating club players on the basis of participation and contribution to the game of volleyball.

Applicants must have played for the Comox Valley Volleyball Club for a minimum of two (2) years and must have been involved with the club the season that the scholarship is awarded.

Applicants must have demonstrated good sportsmanship, skilled performance, and a love for the game of volleyball. Consideration will be given to applicants' overall contribution to volleyball in the Comox Valley, both within and outside the club (e.g., officiating, coaching, team leadership).

The scholarship must be used before September 15th of the following year except where programs maintain a waiting list. Students must be enrolled in a full-time program at a post secondary institution.

To apply for a CVVC Scholarship, please complete the following two steps:

1. Fill out the Scholarship Application Form found in the Forms tab on this website.
2. Forward a letter of introduction to the Board of Directors (cvvcstrikers@hotmail.ca) detailing why you are an appropriate candidate for this scholarship.

Please feel free to include a letter of reference from someone who can speak to your volleyball participation. A school transcript is not required.

Completed applications must be received by noon on Friday, May 24.
