Coach Gallagher will be entering his twenty-sixth season as Head Football Coach at Haverford High school. He has thirty two years of coaching experience including two years at his alma mater - The University of Tennessee. His playing career began at St. James Catholic High School in Chester, Pa. Gallagher was an All- State and All – American player for the Bulldogs. At Tennessee, Joe was a four year varsity starter for the Volunteers while playing three different positions. In 1976, he was selected to play in the Blue – Gray College All – Star Game. In 2009, Joe was inducted into the Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame.
