7-8 yr old pitchers             50 pitches per day

Note: Any player, who has played the position of catcher for 4 or more innings in a game, is not eligible to pitch on that calendar day (even if the player caught for 1 pitch in the 4th inning)  & any Pitcher that has thrown 41 or more pitches in a game is not eligible to catch in that game.

Days of rest required

66 or more pitches in a day        = 4 calendar days of rest

51-65 pitches in a day                  = 3 calendar days of rest

A pitcher can finish the batter he is pitching to without any penalty of additional days rest (FB) but, is not allowed to begin to pitch to a new batter without adding another day of rest.

Ex. If the pitcher begins a batter at 73 pitches and his league age threshold is 75, he is allowed to finish that batter without penalty or If a pitcher begins a batter at 49 pitches and completes that batter at 53 pitches and leaves the mound, his pitch count is 53 FB – 2 days of rest.
