Coach Marc Liberatore Varsity Head Coach   // Contact mliberatore@norton.k12.ma.us

Coach Marc Liberatore enters his 24th season as the Lancers Varsity Coach and second longest tenured in the Tri Valley League.  Liberatore played his high school ball at North Attleboro High School captaining the Red Rocketeers to their first ever Hockomock League Title and receiving Sun Chronicle All Star status his senior year.  He went on to play at Clark University before beginning his coaching career at Abington High School as the JV coach under Hall of Famer Don Byron for five seasons.  The Lancers have qualified for the MIAA tourney thirteen of the last sixteen years  winning four outright TVL championships in 2012 , 2013, 2018 and 2022 . In 2015, the Lancers made it to the South Sectional title game for the first time since 1989 and then made it back to the South Sectional Finals in 2020 , finally achieving Final Four Status in 2022 as one of only two teams in NHS history to make it that far in state tournament play.  Liberatore is a six-time Tri Valley League coach of the year in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2018, 2020 and 2022 and a four time Sun Chronicle coach of the year in 2009, 2013,  2015 and 2018  becoming one of a select few local athletes to be selected as both a player and a coach. Liberatore also captured the MBCA Division Three State Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2022 as well and achieved over 200 wins at NHS during the 2020 season. In addition to his coaching duties, Liberatore is the Coordinator for Social Studies for the Norton Public Schools and was awarded the Massachusetts Secondary Social Studies Teacher of the Year in 2007.

Coach Jolly a former Lancer two sport Captain in Basketball and Baseball has been a member of the staff for the last 16 years, currently for over a decade as the Head JV coach and lead Varsity Assistant.  During his NHS career, Coach Jolly was a multiple JFK Award winner in both sports for his character and leadership on and off the court. As the lead Varsity assistant, he has been instrumental in the Lancer's Four TVL championships over the last decade and three elite 8 appearances as well as their Final Four appearance in 2022.  Coach Jolly has never in over a decade had a losing season as the Head JV coach  and is often reffered to as the Dean of the TVL  Head JV coaches.

Coach Roy begins his fourth season as the Freshmen coach, coming off a 15-4 campaign during his first season. Coach Roy went to high school out in central MA and was a passionate baseball and basketball player. He is a full time Special Education Faculty member at NHS and also serves as the Head Middle School Baseball Coach as well as an Assistant Coach with the American Legion Post 222 Summer Baseball Team.  He was instrumental during the Lancers Final Four run with his film preparation and breakdowns for the Varsity Team in 2022. He has also been the Unified Basketball head coach since 2022.
