Please do not let children play with school property including basketballs, volleyballs, chairs, or scoring table. Children are also asked to refrain from climbing, playing, or punching the safety barriers at each end of the court. They may shoot basketball as long as they wear clean, non-marking shoes and it does not interfere with another team's warm-up or practice.
1. Sweep court floor
2. Pick up trash in bleachers and around bench areas
3. Check bathrooms: Wipe counters, Flush toilets (if needed)
The team that has the last practice will be responsible for all of the duties listed above including:
4. Remove bathroom trash (including individual stalls if needed)
5. Sweep bathroom floors
6. Straighten chairs in bench area
7. Make sure that all cleaning equipment (i.e. brooms, dust pans) are placed back in the janitors closet (neatly)
8. Take out trash and replace trash bags. Trash is to be taken to the dumpster located behind cafeteria.
9. Turn out lights
10. Make sure all doors are closed and locked.

Middle School Clean-Up Guidelines - AFTER GAMES
The Middle School Gym will be left in the same condition as before games are played. Each team will be responsible for at least one post game clean up on Saturday. We will try to rotate the teams as best we can and schedule games accordingly so that you will not have to wait to clean the gym.
Bleachers
Remove trash
Sweep or blow off bleachers
Move bleachers back against the wall and sweep beneath with dust mop
Any soiled areas must be mopped/cleaned
Bench Area/Scoring Table
Remove trash
Straighten chairs
Any equipment left at the scoring table (i.e. clocks) are to be stored in the coach's office
Bathrooms
Wipe off counters
Flush toilets (if needed)

A blower with an extension cord will be provided to assist in cleaning the bleachers quickly and efficiently. It will be located in the janitor's closet. Please help us keep this equipment
Vacuum rugs in front of concession stand, doors, and water fountain

5. Make sure that all exterior windows are closed
6. Make sure that thermostat is returned to correct setting
7. The last team to practice will be responsible for making sure that all lights are turned off and the gym is locked.

PE Building Clean-Up Guidelines
No one is allowed on or under the stage area.

3. Do not leave chairs out. If you use them, please put them away.
4. Put away any school balls/equipment in the appropriate place.
5. Do not throw the balls against the walls. This damages the insulation.
6. Check bathrooms. Wipe counters, check trash, flush toilets
7. If you change the settings on the thermostat, you must return them to the original settings. Please do not adjust the thermostat unless it is absolutely necessary.
