The 2019 Coastal A-cup competition kicked off April 13/14, with quarter final matches for the VIPL A-cup winners in all divisions.

It was a successful soccer weekend for our Island teams, with U14B Storm, U15G Riptide, U18G Gorge/Lakehill/JuandeFuca and U18B Riptide winning their matches and advancing to the semi-finals on April 27 and 28. 

VIPL playdown games were completed in all divisions last weekend.

It was  an exciting competition weekend, with two of the winners determined by penalty kicks.

The playdown brackets for all A-Cup divisions have been updated with final results, and are posted on the A-Cup page.

The 2018 Coastal A-cup competition kicked off last weekend, with quarter final matches for the VIPL A-cup reps in all divisions.

It was a very successful soccer weekend for our Island teams, with 8 divisions winning their matches and advancing to the semi-finals on April 21 and 22.  Congratulations to U14G Thunder (North), U15G Riptide,  U16G Riptide, U18G Riptide,  U15B Saanich Fusion/Prospect Lake, U16B Pays/Peninsula, U17B Bays/Peninsula and U18B Storm and GOOD LUCK next weekend!!

These Coastal Cup SF matches will be our teams' last home games of 2017-18, so please come out and cheer on our players!!!

After a long delay, VIPL finals in all divisions were completed on April 14, with two exciting and competitive matches in the U15G and U18G divisions

Athletes from 8 VIPL teams made a strong showing for our league in tough competition at the 2017 BC Soccer Provincial A Cup tournament in Surrey.  Our teams were well rewarded for their efforts on the pitch: 

   U14B Saanich/Prospect Lake won Gold and the Fair Play Award!

  U14G Upper Island Riptide won Silver and the Fair Play Award!
  U15G Upper Island Storm won Silver!
  U16G Upper Island Riptide won Silver and the Fair Play Award!

  U15B Upper Island Riptide won Bronze!

   U16B Bays/Peninsula won Bronze!
  U18G Upper Island Storm won Bronze!

    U18B Bays/Peninsula/Juan de Fuca won the Fair Play Award!

Congratulations to the U18G Storm team, the Coastal A-cup 2017 winners!

 Coastal Cup play began April 8/9, with the 8 VIPL playdown winners taking the pitch for the Quarter Finals.

On April 22 and 23 the Island hosted 5 Coastal Cup games, when U14G Riptide, U16G Riptide, U18G Storm, U15B Riptide and  U18B Bays/Pen/JdF advanced to the semi-final round.

U16G Riptide and U18G Storm, our semi-final winners, headed off to Aldergrove on May 6 for the Coastal Cup finals.  The U16G A-cup game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, with  Riptide finishing their tournament as the Coastal Cup Runners-Up after penalty kicks.  The U18G Storm won their match 3-2 and return home as the Coastal Cup Champions!

A huge congratulations to all the athletes on the eight VIPL teams who participated in the BC Soccer Youth Provincial A Cup Championships July 3-6, 2014.

   U14 Girls Saanich Fusion/Prospect Lake - won Silver!

U14 Boys Riptide are the Provincial A Cup champions and Fair Play Award recipients- the first Riptide VIPL franchise team to bring home a Provincial title!

 U18 Girls Storm are the Provincial A cup champions - the first Storm VIPL franchise team to bring home a Provincial title!

VIPL was well represented by three teams at the Coastal A-Cup finals in Aldergrove April 30/May 1 2016.

U14B Riptide played Surrey FC on Saturday, with the game going to overtime before Surrey prevailed 3-2

U16G Riptide kicked off against West Vancouver Rangers and left the field Saturday afternoon as the 2016 U16G Coastal A-cup champions, winning their match 2-0.

U14G Storm played West Coast Metro Sunday May 1 and earned the title of 2016 U14G Coastal A-cup champions, winning their match 3-1.
