A: Because it is a team based fee of $700, there is not a set fee to play in the league. Depending on the number of players on the team determines how much each indvidual will pay. Average fee runs $60 to $90 per season.
A: "OPEN PLAY" means that there is nothing scheduled for those times. The rink is available for free skate and no reservations are scheduled.
A: No, there is no fee. It is free to the public.
A: If you are organizing an official practice, you are required to make a reservation with the Recreation Office. The cost is $25 per hour without lights and $35 with lights.
A: Yes, pick-up hockey is mostly played on Friday nights, Saturday nights, and Sunday mornings. There isn't a set time in which the players show up.
A: It varies, depending on when the next season starts, how many games are left in the season, or if there are any openings. We recommend you come down to the rink during league play and introduce yourself to the teams. Sometimes teams are short and need players, if you bring your gear you may get picked up. Just because your on the free agents list doesn't guarantee a spot in the league. It notifies the managers that there is interest in playing and looking to be picked up on a team.
Q: What are the levels of play? A: Beginners play on Mondays, Advanced play on Tuesdays, and Intermediate play on Wednesday.
Q: How do I get on the free agents list? A: Click on the "CONTACT US" tab and fill out the form. This will let us know your interested and we will add your name to the list and submit them to the managers. |
