Mission Statement

Our mission is to develop quality men while playing football to win

Program Goals:
  1. To develop positive personal traits.
  2. To provide positive role models for younger students in regards to behavior, accountability, attitude and dedication.
  3. To provide student-athletes with the greatest team experience of their athletic career.

Team Rules
All players are expected to know the following

Sportsmanship - As players, your job is to play the game. Issues regarding official's calls will be handled by the coaches. We expect all players to demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. When we score a TD, it is expected that we gently hand the ball to an official. We do not dive into the end zone on breakaway scores or do any other kind of hot-doggish behavior to draw attention to ourselves.

Addressing Adults - When addressing adults, you will address them as Mr./Mrs./Miss or Sir. Addressing coaches as Coach Jones is acceptable. Failure to do so will result in 20 push-ups.

SMOKING, DRINKING, DRUGS - No smoking, drinking, or use of drugs in any form will be tolerated. Upon any reliable or substantiated report, the athlete who violates this trust will be dealt with severely and within the guidelines of the NIAA and the Clark County School District. This is an area where your teammates will see just how important football is to you.

PLAYING TIME - Playing time will be determined by the player's actions & the coaches. There is no minimum playing time rule in High School Football!
We will not guarantee playing time!!!

Game Bench Behavior - Helmets will be worn unless receiving medical attention. Players will not be talking with/gesturing towards fans. We will have coaches upstairs writing down names of players who are more concerned with the stands than the field. After each series, players are to immediately meet as a unit with the field coordinator.

No Swearing!!!

Locker Room - All equipment and personal items will be stored in a locker and LOCKED. Nothing will be left out on the floor. Individual headphones will be allowed before games.

Lost Equipment - You are responsible for the equipment issued to you. You will be charged for any unreturned equipment. Lock your equipment at all times. If you lose a piece of equipment, check out a new piece through the managers by filling out the Lost Equipment Sheet. Equipment left in lockers 1 week after the end of the season will be removed and discarded. Equipment sign-out sheets will be used to match up numbers to those they belong to. All missing items after this will result in a fine to the student who checked it out.

Equipment Switch - If you need to exchange a piece of equipment check it out through the coaches, so that you are not billed for not turning that piece in.

Injured Player - Injured players who are not able to practice are still expected to be at practice. Written notification from the player's parents or doctor will be required before participation is allowed. You cannot see the Athletic Trainer until given permission from a Coach.

Missed Practice - Each individual team will determine the make-up conditioning for missed practice. This will be communicated to the team by their coaches. These absences will be classified in 2 categories - 1) Missed with PRIOR NOTIFICATION & 2) Missed WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION (No Call, No Show).

***Three unexcused absences from any team function (practice / game / meeting / etc.) will result in a one week suspension from football. The next unexcused absence will result in removal from the team. Unexcused is defined as "No Call, No Show!"

***Missing (No Call, No Show) and/or not-participating in two practices in one week will result in a one game suspension, excluding injury. This suspension results in the athlete losing his privilege of coming to the game, wearing his game jersey, and any other game day activity.

***Missing one practice in a week (Unexcused) will result in missing the 1st quarter of that week's game.

a. Illness, death, or extreme emergency would be an acceptable reason for an excused practice.
b. Please schedule all medical and dental appointments at some time other than practice time.
c. Remember, you cannot participate in a game if you were not in school that day, or if you miss class. The athletic administrator and I should be notified if extenuating circumstances exist.

Bus Riding Policy - All players will travel with the team from the departure site to the location of the event and back. Exceptions will only be made if prior approval is given through the Athletic office. Bus ride will be quiet.

Bad Weather - We will practice outside unless lightning is present. If so, please have tennis shoes available to practice in the gym, lift weights, or do conditioning.

Weight Training - Planned weight training sessions are considered part of practice. All seniors who do not have a 6th period class will lift daily during 6th period with their teammates. This is part of practice.

Uniform Dress - No bandanas, doo rags, wristbands, headbands or jewelry will be worn. If a long-sleeved shirt is desired under the game jersey, it must be White or Red (NO BLACK) to match the jersey being worn (red jersey = red under-shirt).
