D'Andre Polard                                                                                                                                 

D'Andre started with the Bears, than he mad a name for himself in high school as  First team all-state ... All-Suburban One ... Scored 54 career touchdowns ... 2013 AAAA Football Writers Player of the Year ... 2013 Bucks County Courier Times Player of the Year ... Rushed for 2,928 yards in 2013 which is the sixth best single season mark in Pennsylvania history ... Earned four varsity letters in track & field. D'Andre is currently playing for Villanova University.

 

 

 


 

 

 

Jalen Nieves

Jalen was a member of the 2009 105lb. Championship team and the 2008 Runner-up. As a running back and defensive back, Jalen had a shut-down performance in the American Conference title game to help upset an Undefeated Norristown Bandit squad that had 5 titles was 45-0 on their career going into the contest. Jalen started three games as a Freshman for Kutztown, in what started as a redshirt year. He finished the season with 24 total tackles (15 solo, 9 assists), a fumble recovery, a pass breakup, and an interception. In his Sophmore year, Jalen has been named the starting safety and recorded 54 tackles and 23 assists. He was also named game MVP.

 

Alex Arcangeli


Alex was a member of the 2009 105lb. Championship team. As a running back and linebacker, Alex performed in the American Conference title game with a torn hamstring to help upset an Undefeated Norristown Bandit squad that had 5 titles was 45-0 on their career going into the contest. Alex is highly recruited and has been named 1st team linebacker as a Sophomore. After suffering an injury his junior year, Alex transferred to Archbishop Wood as a Senior. He was named 1st team All-Catholic League as a Fullback.

 


Kevin Hopkins                                                                     Donnie Reed

                            


Kevin Hopkins led the Suburban One League in passing and was also a shutdown corner for the Owls. His versatility was seen throughout the season, most notably against perennial state power Archbishop Wood, where he allowed no receptions.  His counterpart, Donnie Reed, also led the Suburban One League in receiving.  Both were a member of the 2008 team that finished first in the league but suffered a huge upset to Mt. Airy, 14-8.

Shane McSweeney - NCAA




Shane was a member of the 2003 125lb. Championship team, you know, the team that knocked off an undefeated Bantam team 28-7 and had the game called early. His team also defeated the PA Little Quakers (State All-Star team). As only a Sophomore at Wesley, he was named ACFC Offensive Player of the Year. He completed nearly 69% of his passes for 1,684 yards and 15 touchdowns and led the Wolverines on a 9 game winning streak that took them to the 2nd round of the NCAA Championships. Shane now plays for the Lehigh-Valley Steelhawks.

 


TJ Stancil - Canadian Football League



TJ was a long-time player for the Bears Organization who was an SOL All-league player. He attended Boston College and was named to the All-Big East 2ns Team. He started 24 consecutive games (before injury) and accumulated 61 tackles his Senior Season. Additionally, he was named Defensive MVP in the San Francisco Bowl after returning 3 interceptions for 81 yards. He was a 3 year veteran of the CFL; he played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and has been named CFL Player-of-the-Week and nominated for Most Outstanding Rookie.

 


George Coleman - NCAA


Former Bear George Coleman is a member of the Temple Owls. He played in 8 games as a freshman and started at RB. As a sophmore he played in all 12 games and started at CB for several games. He is expected to play Safety this season as a Junior. In High School, he played for Neshaminy as a WR on the 2003 PIAA State Championship team and as a RB on the 2004 State Runner-up team. He rushed for 2,166 yards and 29 TD's as a HS Senior.
