Welcome to the 2024 XC Season!
PRACTICES BEGIN AUGUST 13th
ALL LEVELS and AGES WELCOME
This is a wonderful, self-paced sport that teaches discipline, endurance and fortitude, not to mention the wonderful fellowship with a great group of student athletes! All levels of experience and condition are welcome to join. This is an incredibly family friendly sport, all our ages practice during at the same time, two days a week at the same locations. Each athlete will run at their own pace and, with the encouragment of coaches and teamates, work to improve their times times.
Official practices begin August 13th with an important Parent Meeting that will explain volunteer roles and runner expectations.
** Practices: Tuesdays/Thursday from 6-8 PM at local Ann Arbor parks (see our calendar for exact locations and times will adjust as days shorten)
High School: (FEES $150) Coach Pam Stom is returning as our HS coach. She brings experience, enthusiasm and creativity to our program. She will meet all runners where they are and hopes to offer an optional 3rd day for runners eager to improve. The high school team will compete in 7-8 meets and hopes to conclude the season with the Homeschool State XC meet at the end of October.
Middle School/Elementary: (FEES MS-$85, EL-$50) Coach Brendan Cousino and Coach Rich Hamann are also returning to coach our younger runners. They do a great job of engaging all runners and using games to make each practice fun for all. The middle schoolers will compete in 5/6 meets and the Elementary in 3/4 meets. Runners younger than 3rd grade are welcome but parents MUST stay on site and run with them during
