On March 6, 2004, Henryville won its first Boys' Sectional championship by defeating Lanesville in the 
1A championship at Henryville, 55-38. The Hornets were led in scoring by Eric Hester with 20 points and the 2nd 
leading scorer in the state, Shane Meadows, finished with 17. The 2003-04 team was later defeated in the 
Regional Championship by eventual State Champion Waldron 61-55, who finished the season 27-0. Prior to falling
to Waldron, the Hornets defeated Jac-Cen-Del 74-50 in the Regional Semi-Finals on top of Shane Meadows
48 points, which is the 9th most points ever scored in an Indiana State Tournament Game.
               
On March 5, 2005, Henryville won its second consecutive Sectional championship by defeating 
Lanesville in the 1A championship at New Washington. The Hornets defeated Orleans 39-37 in the Regional 
Semi-Finals on a layup as time expired by Michael Graf, who received an inbounds pass from Cody Munk with 0.7 
seconds left. Henryville was defeated that night in the Regional Championship by Hauser.
               
The 1944-45 and the 1945-46 teams coached by Herman Furnish, remain arguably the most revered 
teams in school history. Led by Keith Munk and Howard Zollman, who are each in the top 8 of the school's all-time
scoring list, the Hornets finished each regular season undefeated. Henryville was eventually defeated by Jeffersonville
in each years Sectional, however, each of these 2 teams are honored at the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame.
               
The 1953-54 team was the first team ever to reach the One Class Sectional Finals, losing to Jeffersonville.
Other teams to reach the Sectional Finals were the 1979-80 team coached by Dennis Holt and defeated by Silver
Creek; the 1981-82 team also coached by Dennis Holt and defeated by Silver Creek; the 1987-88 team coached by
Terry Rademacher and defeated by Floyd Central and future Mr. Basketball Pat Graham; the 1998-99 team coach by 
John Bradley defeated by Graceland in the new 1A class tournament, the 2000-01 team defeated by 1A #2 New 
Washington, also coached by Bradley, the 2002-03 team coached by Jack Brooks and defeated by Shawe, the
2006-07 team coached by Perry Hunter and defeated by Lanesville at Henryville, and the 2009-10 team coached by
Perry Hunter and defeated by Lanesville at Borden.
               
Southern Athletic Conference championships were won in 1979, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2017, 2018 and 
2019, and a Dixie Athletic Conference Championship was won in 1963. 
               
On January 2, 2010, Henryville resurrected the Henryville Invitational Tournament and re-named it the 
McKee Munk Invitational after long time player, referee, and team bus driver McKee Munk who recently had 
passed away and the Hornets defeated Southwestern (Hanover) to win the title. On December 23, 2014, the
Hornets defeated Madison Shawe to win their second McKee Munk Invitational Championship behind first year
coach Jared Hill, who is McKee Munk's grandson. Henryville won its second consecutive McKee Munk
Invitational Championship on December 22, 2015 after defeated Southwestern (Hanover) in the Championship 41-27.
On December 22, 2016, Henryville won it's 3rd straight McKee Munk Invitational title after routing Crothersville
in the champsionship 82-36. On December 20, 2017, Henryville won it's 4th straight McKee Munk Invitational
defeating Indianapolis Metropolitan in the championship game 71-60.
