Possible Teams:

We have the potential to offer different levels of teams per season. However, the decision will not be made until after tryouts as to which teams will be offered for the season ahead. The decision is dependent on the athlete turn out and the level of skills seen at tryouts. Team placement will be decided using NHIAA rules and guidelines.

1) Competition Team (Varsity / JV) - Athletes are expected to attend all practices, games, competitions and scheduled events. They compete in the competition routine unless an outstanding circumstance (injury, academic issues, disciplinary action) arises. An athlete that will miss a competition cannot be on the Competition Team. They must abide by all policies outlined in the Lancer Cheer handbook.

2) Competition Alternate Team (Varsity / JV) - Athletes are expected to attend all practices, games, competitions and scheduled events. They are competition alternates and may not compete in the competition routine unless their skills are deemed necessary to enhance the routine. They do have the potential to compete in the competition routine unless an outstanding circumstance (injury, academic issues, disciplinary action) arises. An athlete that will miss a competition cannot be on the Competition Alternate Team. They must abide by all policies outlined in the Lancer Cheer handbook. Varsity Alternates will be placed as members of JV competition unless needed.

3)Game Team  (Varsity / JV) - Athletes are expected to attend all scheduled Game Team practices, games and scheduled events. They do not compete in the competition routine and are part of the program unless an outstanding circumstance (injury, academic issues, disciplinary action) arises. Although they are welcome to, they are not required to attend competitions. They must abide by all policies outlined in the Lancer Cheer handbook.
