The home team is responsible:

• Gate Volunteers (2)
• Security/Yellow Jackets (2-3)
• Scorer (1)
• Time Clock (1)
• Penalty Box (1)

The away team needs to provide:

• Security/Yellow Jackets (2)
• Penalty Box (1)

Here is a description of each volunteer position:

• Gate Volunteers:  Collect admission at home games and record game attendance.  Gate should be open 1/2 hour prior to game time and should remain open as a minimum to the end of the first period.  Gate receipts are to be turned into the team manager at the end of the second period.
• Security/Yellow Jackets:  Oversee fan behavior at home and away games.  One security volunteer is required at Middle School and JV Games.  Two to three are required at Varsity Games.  Security must be visible at all times with at least one posted near the student section at Varsity Games.  Volunteers must be 18 or older.
• Scorer:  Keeps the official game score sheet at all home games on PointStreak. 
• Time Keeper:  Runs the time clock at all home games.  Time clock training is available.
• Penalty Box:  Occupy the penalty box during home and away games to open and close the gate as players enter/exit the box.

Any team that does not have the required volunteers for the game will forfeit the game.

The scheduling of volunteer responsibilities is facilitated by the Team Manager. Parents can assign themselves to volunteer spots using www.timetosignup.com. Each family is responsible for covering at least 5 volunteer slots throughout the season.  A fine is assessed for those who do not fulfill their obligation.

Other game duties such as DJ and PA announcer are not required by the CPIHL and therefore will not count towards your required slot count.
