The Westland Meteor's Football and Cheer Program is a volunteer based organization and it depends greatly on the commitment and sacrifice of many volunteers, including coaches, board members, field directors, and team parents. They, as well as many others devote a substantial amount of their time and energy to support our youth sports program.
Volunteer Policy:
Parent involvement is critical to our success. In addition to supporting and participating in our fundraising activities, we require that a parent of each football player and/or cheerleader volunteer for a position for 3 games. We also require parents to provide a $100 check made payable to the Westland Meteors for each of their children participating. This check will only be cashed in the event that parents do not complete their mandated volunteer commitment. Although the monetary donation is greatly appreciated, your volunteer time is much more valuable. There are many opportunities and ways to contribute your volunteer time. You can schedule your volunteer time before of after your child's game so you can fully enjoy your their game.
