Please note the following rules regarding the use of BBC players from other grades/divisions to fill absences:

  • A team may use a non-roster player from a lower-grade/division BBC team without penalty (e.g., a 6th grade team may use a 5th grade BBC player "playing up" for the game).
  • A team may use a non-roster player from a different BBC team in the same grade/division.  However, such use will result in the team using the non-roster player forfeiting the game (e.g., a 6th grade team may use a 6th grade player from another 6th grade team but forfeits the game).
  • A team may NOT use a non-roster player, for safety reasons, from a higher-grade/division BBC team (e.g., a 6th grade team may not use a 7th grade BBC player).
  • The above substitution rules apply for non-playoff and playoff games and coaches must use the equal playing time substitution sheet for all players in attendance in all cases for equal playing time purposes.
  • For regular season and playoff games, teams may only use a non-roster player if necessary to reach 7 players for the game.

Standings tiebreakers:

  • Winning percentage
  • If winning percentage tied, head-to-head game records
  • If head-to-head records tied, point differential in head-to-head games
  • If point differential in head-to-head games tied, default to coin flip
