We had a great experience at the tournament today. You do a great job and we would definitely do it again if we put a team together next year. The Clash of The Titans 15U,16U,17U MVP will earn an invite to The Hoop Group Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp. Valid for "Hoop School" Session III or IV. The 2006 Clash of The Titans 15U,16U,17U Championship Teams will earn an invitation to the 2006 Triple "S" Harley Davidson Jam Fest on July 14-16 at West Virginia University presented by The Hoop Group.

Congratulations to all of our champions in each age division, 10U-17U. Thanks to the over 70 teams that participated in the Clash of The Titans 2005 and made it another great event. Teams from NY,PA,NJ,CT,MD,DC,VA and NC competed in this years event. The competition was fierce in all age groups and many games came down to the last possession to determine the outcome. The tournament completely sold out again this year and teams were turned away. The Clash of The Titans,played annually in Philly, has fast become a destination event for teams preparing for national events as well as up and coming teams hungry to play great competition during the early July NCAA evaluation period.

17U Championship
In the 17U Championship,the Baltimore Stars defeated the Philadelphia Patriots 77-66. The Patriots led most of the game but the Baltimore Stars would not be denied. Led by the strong play of 6'7" Louis Birdsong with 21 points, Gregory Woody with 21 points and 6'9" Gene Johnson with 16 points, the Stars earned the championship against a very skilled and tough Philly team. The Stars were without their dominant big man,6'10" Braxton Dupree was at an exclusive national camp. The Zeglinski brothers, Joe and Sam led the Patriots with 27 and 12 points in the championship game. Big man, 6'10" Kevin Hudsans chipped in 12 points for the Patriots. The much anticipated matchup between the Stars and Patriots was almost derailed in the semifinal round; the Pats advanced on a last second buzzer beater to snatch victory from the Upper Darby PAL, 63-62. The Baltimore Stars beat the Westchester Wildcats 67-59 to advance to the championship game.

16U Championship
Led by David Pearman with 15 points and Will Thomas with 12, the Baltimore Stars ran away from the South Jersey Express and the 16U championship, 73-51.

Clash of The Titans Playing Rules

The Mainline Aces(16U) of Narbeth PA defeated the Boston Blazers(17U), 68-61 for The Clash of Titans 17U Championship. Both teams featured players with major talent. The Boston Blazers vaunted frontline featured players G. McCarthy 6'10", N. Pontes 6'8" and
A. Joyner 6'7", who swept through their pool undefeated. The Mainline Aces were pushed in their pool but also were undefeated. The Aces were led by Garrett Williamson and Matt Fazzini, both with 13 points each. Ryan Brooks and Peter Lucas chipped in 10 and 8 points for Mainline. The younger Aces never backed down from the more experienced Blazers and from the opening tip went toe-to-toe, handing the Boston Blazers their only defeat of the tournament. The Boston Blazers were led by the three point shooting of D. McGeary with 13 points, R. McClean with 10 points and N. Pontes with 9. Congratulations to Coach Al Lucas and The Mainline Aces for winning the 17U championship.

Congratulations to Coach Kenny Pretlow and the NYC Metro Hawks for going undefeated and winning the 14U Clash of The Titans basketball championship 59-41 over the Wilmington Wildcats. Led by the terrific trio of #23 R. Davis with 15 points, #25 R. Braithwaite with 9 points and #24 R. Davis with 10 points, the Metro Hawks defeated a tough and talented Delaware squad, the Wilmington Wildcats. The Wilmington Wildcats were led by the hot shooting of #33 Matt Williams with 15 points and #15 Jamie Hagan with 9 points. Congratulation to Coach Kenny Pretlow and Wildcat Coach Jim Hagan for an outstanding championship game.
