All slo-pitch participants are expected to, at all times, display respect for the rights, dignity and worth of athletes, coaches, officials, other volunteers, media, friends, and spectators and to treat everyone respectfully, regardless of sex, ethnic origin, religion or ability.
No Coach, Manager, Team Member or Fan Will:
Conduct themselves in behaviour contrary to this code both on and off the field.
Cause any form of personal abuse, including verbal, physical and emotional abuse, towards other athletes, officials, host personnel, spectators and others.
Make any disparaging remarks or actions towards other athletes, officials, host personnel, spectators, employees, directors or such; verbally, on an open online forum, via email, make comments on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or other social media sites that are disparaging, offensive, harass, bully or verbally attack the park, park executives or patrons or that the CMLC League at its discretion shall deem to be detrimental.
Harass, heckle, insult, jeer, or use verbal tactics to embarrass or insult other athletes, officials, host personnel, spectators, employees, directors or such on or off park property, during or after a game.
Neither reacts in a violent manner to any incident nor uses any form of profane, vulgar, obscene or abusive language or gestures, whether it is directed at an official, opponent, playing colleague, team official or spectator or use profane, vulgar, obscene or abusive language or gestures from any supporters and other members of their team.
Refuse to abide by an official’s decision, threaten an official, or at any time lay a hand upon, push, strike, or make incidental physical contact with the body or kick dirt or other matter on the official or attempt to cause physical contact when disputing a decision. This includes causing or attempting to cause physical contact with another opponent, playing colleague or spectator or other.
Make objectionable demonstrations by throwing bats, gloves or other equipment in a forceful manner.
Cause the destruction of property belonging to others or the facility.
Use any intoxicating substances during the course of the game or appear to be in an intoxicated condition.
Use any improper, altered and/or unapproved equipment.
Give false or misleading information or fail to cooperate with a legitimate request from a park or league official in the discharge of his/her official duties.
When requested by the game official, refuse to assist him/her in the enforcement of this Code of Conduct and the control of players making threats.
Engage in a continuous verbal attack upon an official or other participants or spectators, park official after they have been ejected from a game or make a verbal threat of physical violence upon any individual at any time.
Use any league, park or society logos or trademarks or at anytime promote, advertize or distribute any information/handouts without express written permission from the league.
Engage in any action, threatened legal action, or conduct that the CMLC League at its discretion shall deem to be detrimental to the CMLC League and its members and the purposes of The CMLC League whether or not such matters occur in connection with any league or game situation.
Any infractions of this code of conduct may result in suspensions and/or fines.
