Hellam High School Champions 1937-1938, played in the Hellam Firehall

• 1975-1976 to 1989-1990

  Girls' basketball entered the York County scene beginning with the 1975-1976 season, playing the in York County Interscholastic Athletic Association.

  For the first three seasons, there was just one division containing 15 teams

• Eastern York girls' basketball started intramurals in 1976-1977.
• Eastern York officially joined the league in 1977-1978.

• 1983-1984 1st District appearance
• 1984-1st 1000 pt scorer - Tracy Strausbaugh/Myers

• 1986-1987 A smaller ball, about one inch less in circumference (becoming 28 1/2 to 29 inches) and two ounces lighter (18 to 20 ounces) than the previous ball, is approved.
• 1987-1988 - 3 point line introduced
• 1990-1991 to 2000-2001

  First created in 1991, the YAIAA ran with two divisions (Divisions I & II) from its start through the 2000-2001 season. During the 1990-1991 season, the league was known as the York County Interscholastic Athletic Association.

  The YCIAA was also comprised of two division, East and West

• 1994-1995 1st State Playoff appearance

• 2001-2002 to 2007-2008

  In these years, the YAIAA operated with two divisions, each containing two sections. Division I held Sections I & II, while Division II had Sections III and IV

• 95-96,96-97,99-00,00-01,01-02,06-07,08-09,12-13 State Playoff appearances
• 1995-1996 York County Champions

     The YAIAA used the format of four divisions, I, II, III and IV.

              The YAIAA changed the division alignment to 3 divisions, I, II and III. Eastern goes to Division II.

• 2015                                                             The PIAA recently approved a six-class system for basketball; Eastern goes to AAAA.
