Our policy is that when the heat index or temperature is between 100 and 104 degrees, NO HELMETS OR SHOULDER PADS ARE ALLOWED AND NO CONTACT OF ANY KIND. Practices must be light and water breaks every 15 minutes during this time frame. Also during this time frame, the heat index and temperature will be rechecked every 30 minutes to make sure it is not rising. If the heat index or temperature is 105 degrees and up, then NOTHING is allowed practice must be cancelled.

When lightning occurs, all coaches and players will immediately take shelter.  No practice or game may continue until there is no lightning for a consecutive 15 minutes.
