The Brad Betz Memorial Award

Brad Betz was a long-time Warriors player who died in early 2009 from the complications of prostate cancer. He was only 66. Brad played in our league for almost 15+ years and was liked by everyone. More people disliked Sarah Lee than disliked Brad. No one embodied the cameraderie for which we strive in this league more than Brad Betz did. He was, simply, the best teammate anyone could ever want.
To memorialize his name, and to keep his spirit alive in our league, we have established an award in his name. The Brad Betz Memorial Award will be given each season at the Championship Night party to the Warriors player who is deemed to be the best teammate. This is not an MVP award for playing excellence. We don't have such a thing. This is a "good guy" & "great teammate" award. Because of the nature of our league, we believe THIS is the highest honor a Warrior player can have.
