Machine Pitch Division Playing Rules

  • Players must be 7 or 8 years old as of April 30th of the playing season.
    • Fall seasons will use the upcoming or next year age groups.
  • No score will be kept.
  • There will be unlimited defensive substitutions, but no player may sit more than one (1) consecutive inning.
  • All players will bat in the lineup.
  • All games will be machine pitch only. The distance is 36’. Regular baseball rules for outs apply.
  • The umpire will feed the machine and call the game.
    • In the event no umpire is present, a coach from each team will feed the machine and call the game when their team is up to bat.
  • Each batter receives a maximum of 5 pitches. If the ball has not been hit into fair territory, the batter is out.
    • Additional pitches are allowed if the umpire calls a no pitch.
    • Batters may not “walk.”
  • Batters and baserunners can be put out. If they are called out, they are removed from the field of play.
  • Each team will bat 6 batters an inning.
    • A lineup must be used and followed in order for the whole game. If a player is injured or must leave, their lineup spot may be skipped.
    • 3 outs does not end a half inning.
  • Stealing is not allowed.
  • No new inning shall begin after 1:15 (an hour and 15 mins).
    • Fall season: To accommodate remaining daylight, the first game will have a drop-dead time of 1:30 minutes (6:30pm).
  • All fielders must play at normal playing depth. 10 Fielders total.
    • A fourth outfielder may be placed in the field defensively.
    • Only one player placed on either side of the pitching machine assuming the defensive position of the pitcher.
    • The catcher takes his normal position.
  • Base runners shall not leave their bases until the ball has been hit into play by the batter.

T-Ball Division Playing Rules

  • Players must be 4, 5, or 6 years old as of April 30th of the playing season.
    • Fall seasons will use the upcoming or next year age groups.
  • No score will be kept.
  • All players will bat each inning.
    • The tee must be used. No coach pitch allowed.
  • There may be no more than three (3) coaches on the field. Coaches will play all players in the field.
  • Safe “T” balls will be used.
  • Stealing is not allowed. One base per overthrow only.
  • No game shall exceed 55 minutes.
