Pop Warner is the only youth sports program in the country that requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom before permitting them to play. We believe that the standards we have set up gives these children a sense of responsibilty and an appreciation for academics and athletics that will help them develop later on in life.

All participants in Pop Warner football and cheer MUST provide proof of scholastic fitness.  NO child will be allowed to participate in any Pop Warner activity until proof of scholastic fitness has been documented and received.

What this means to you:

Every Grizzlies football player and cheerleader MUST provide 3 copies of their FINAL report cards.  It must have the child's name, school name and year.

Skyward print outs cannot be submitted.

Children who are entering Kindergarten will be given a Kindergarten Exempt Form and do not have to submit a report card.

The report cards MUST be received by Equipment Day on July 26 so they are allowed to participate in the first day of practice.  If no report card is submitted, your child will not be allowed to practice until it is received.

   *  You can bring the report cards in PERSON to Physical Night

   *  You can MAIL them to the Grizzlies at PO Box 196145, Winter Springs, FL 32719

If you have ANY questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

GO GRIZZLIES!

Pop Warner Little Scholars is the only national youth sports organization in America that requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom in order to train and play in our leaque. We believe these standards give our children a sense of responsibility and an appreciation for athletics that will benefit them later in life. Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required of all of our participants. A 2.0/70% or the equivalent is the minimum grade point average acceptable to participate in Pop Warner activities. In addition our athletes are given points based on community involvement, volunteering, special awards and recognition.

Each year Pop Warner recognizes the top 2% student athletes in the country. In additional to National recognition, the Southeast Region and the Mid-Florida conference also select Scholar Athletes to be recognized separate from the National selection process. In March Pop Warner Mid-Florida has a banquet where our local Scholar Athletes are recognized. This scholastic and athletic commitment shows character and commitment for future college applicants.
