Involvement in the organization your daughter has chosen to participate in is a key component in the success of our team. There are many roles to fill to ensure our season is positive and successful. Volunteering aids in developing a strong support system and adds to the fun! Participation is required, but where you choose to assist, is your choice.
- Varsity parents are required to be an Officer or a Committee Chairperson
- JV parents are required to be on at least one Committee
- Each family is required to work at least two times in Concessions

Below is a list of volunteer positions throughout the season.
Ball Kids Chairperson –
· Responsible for contacting area recreational and club youth teams to volunteer to be field assistants. Train and schedule these children for all home Varsity matches. We would like 6-10 kids for each Match. In return for their help, each child receives a free hot dog and drink during half time. These Youth players are admitted free and are loaned a WKHS Soccer t-shirt to wear during the evening.
Banquet Chairperson(s) –
· Chairperson and committee help to plan the menu, decorations, coaches and players’ gifts for the end of season banquet. Typically have one (1) meeting to attend in planning.
Car Wash Coordinator –
· Coordinator and committee help to facilitate the car washes by securing the location and arranging for equipment to be at the designated location. Committee also prepares advertisement signs to be used by the teams that day. Other parents are needed for each date to manage traffic and collect donations.
Concessions Coordinator –
· Coordinator is responsible for coordinating volunteers to run concessions for Varsity/JV home games. Develops schedule (can use Sign Up Genius) and communicates reminders of times/dates to those needed each week by either phone or email. Most slots will be filled prior to or during “Meet the Team” night. The coordinator will contact those not yet signed up to fill available slots.
· Every family will be REQUIRED to assist on this committee during the season. Volunteers are admitted free to that game. Each evening is done in shifts as not to miss your child’s game.
o First Shift arrives 30 minutes before the start of the JV match for some light cooking and prep needs and work through the JV match (typically asked of Varsity parents).
o Second Shift works the Varsity match including clean up/closing during the second half of the match (typically asked of JV parents). We need 3-4 volunteers for each home varsity game (more for Youth Night)!
Game Programs & Senior Night Program –
· Creates programs for home games for all teams (Varsity, JV). Creates special game program for Senior Night with photos and biographies of each Senior player.
Golf Outing Fundraiser Chairperson – Andrew English
· Responsible for coordination of Golf Outing to include site, sponsor and participant forms, sourcing of sponsor signage and requesting volunteers to assist with planning as well as activities day of event.
Hospitality –
· Chair and committee support a variety of things during the season including flowers and refreshments at Senior Night and coordinating volunteers to provide food for out of town visiting teams.
Jersey Mikes Coordinator –
· Collects meal orders from all players and places orders with Jersey Mikes restaurant, and coordinates delivery to school prior to all away games.
Pancake Day Coordinator –
· Chair coordinates 6 volunteers to work at Pancake Day so that WolfPack LFC will receive an allocation of the profits from Wolves, Inc.
Photographer – Varsity: [parent name], JV: [parent name], Third-Party: [name]
· Responsible for photographing the players during games and activities so that pictures are available for use in programs and at events.
Videographer- Varsity Only:
· Responsible for filming Varsity games ensuring camera is charged and uploading film to hudl website.
Press Box Duties:
· Announcer to work the public address system and scoreboard operator to work the scoreboard (game clock and score) during the Varsity and/or JV home matches including the playoff games that we host. Ideally would have an announcer and scoreboard operator for each game.
Program Advertising Sales–
· The Chair and committee sell advertisements that appear in the athletic programs over the year. The committee is provided with a list of previous advertisers. The sale of advertising is conducted in the late spring and early summer prior to the season.
Senior Night Chairperson–
· Chairperson and committee coordinate all the events for Senior Night, including gathering the Senior bios, arranging for announcer at halftime to read Senior bios, arranging for photographer to take pictures during presentation of the seniors and before and during the game, arranging for photos of Seniors (group and individual head shots) for the video scoreboard and publication in the Senior Night program along with the Senior bios. (Note: flowers are handled by Hospitality and paper cup Senior names in fence are handled by Coach & Team).
Spiritwear Sales Chairperson –
· Soccer and school apparel are offered to the team players and families. The Chairperson and committee obtain samples from vendors in conjunction with the coaching staff, places the orders and distributes the products upon arrival.
Team Dinners Coordinator -
· Coordinator identifies volunteers to serve as dinner hosts and assistants. Provides reminders via e-mail and/or phone.
· Team dinner hosts and parent assistants provide dinner on selected Friday nights before Saturday games. Parent hosts are needed for each team. Typically the host provides the main course and the assistants provide side dishes, desserts and drinks.
Youth Night Chairperson –
· Coordinates all the events for Youth Night, including obtaining donations of raffle prizes, advertising the event, organizing a coach’s game, or some other special event for Worthington youth, coordinating with concessions for 25 cent hot dog sales and any other ideas to promote Worthington youth attendance at the WKHS home game designated for Youth Night.
