⚾ ROXBOROUGH REBELS TRAVEL TEAM TRYOUTS ⚾

We are pleased to announce our tryout dates for the 2024 Roxborough Rebels travel baseball and softball teams. These teams are separate from our in-house league and are designed to unlock opportunities for players who are interested in playing more competitive baseball and softball and charting their path to being as ready as possible when they want to play at the high school level. Our youth travel teams will compete in local/regional tournaments and represent our league on the Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth tournament trail, which offers the opportunity to advance from district play to state, regional, and national World Series tournaments. 7U baseball is a developmental program (no district path) that we started three years ago and has been a huge success! Please read the page below for tryout dates, locations, and information.

14U+ Babe Ruth travel baseball team opportunities will be posted at a future date.

*Players born May 1, 2017 – Aug 31, 2017 are also eligible to tryout for 7U.

Travel Baseball Requirements

·       Travel baseball players are required to attend at least one tryout, though it is recommended to attend as many tryouts as possible. Players trying out for the 11U/Cooperstown team must attend at least two out of the three tryouts.

·       Must meet age eligibility requirements, sign up for the in-house rec league by 3/1, and participate in 75% of in-house games.

     Age Eligibility FAQ - Q: Are players allowed to "play up"?   A: It is our intent to operate as a best-in-class Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth league and field age-appropriate teams at each level. In instances where the number of players trying out in an age group doesn't allow for a full roster to be created or safety/skill risks are presented by our player evaluation team, the league will make these decisions based on what's in the best interest of the league, the teams, and all the players.

Travel Baseball & Softball Offseason Workout/Skills Clinic Opportunities

In advance of our Rebels travel team tryouts, the league will also offer some age-appropriate workouts to prepare players for the tryouts.  Please refer to the age eligibility and attend only the workouts that align with your child’s date of birth.

These workouts are not mandatory but highly recommended for players who have pre-registered to tryout.

Once the travel team tryouts are completed and teams are selected, indoor practices will begin immediately and transition outdoors as weather and field conditions allow. 

If your child is NOT trying out for a travel team, the league will also be offering a variety of age-appropriate skills development clinics and opportunities open to any player in the league.  Please keep an eye on our website and Facebook page.
