The purposes of the HSA are to cause, foster, and enhance youth/adult sports activities in the community.  As volunteers the organization coordinates and cooperates with all organizations, agencies, activities, and individuals, private or public, in the furthering of educational youth/adult sports. Youth activities are a positive influence on youth as are adult activities upon our community's adults. Beyond the educational aspects lessons in life are confronted and assimilated by participation.

We are organized exclusively for youth and adult charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This corporation shall be affiliated with State, National or International youth/adult sports organizations , and activities, to foster national or international amateur sports competition.  HSA is affiliated with USA Softball.  Through USA Softball this we provide training, background checks, safe sport training, coaching clinics, player/coach/officiating development, and competition.

Activities are conducted by individual leagues.  Membership is established in the following categories:

Youth leagues and Adult leagues.  Each league is established to provide sports and educations activities for the youth and adults.
