About Northern York Fastpitch Association (NYFA) Travel

Mission Statement

To provide a top-quality opportunity for the young female athletes of the Northern York County to experience the thrill of a competitive fastpitch softball program that will prepare them to compete and excel at high school level and beyond; and to offer this program in an environment that will foster self-confidence and instill the life-long values of responsibility, hard work, respect, sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.

Brief History

The Northern York Fastpitch Association (NYFA) was incorporated as a non-profit in the fall of 2011.  Our sole purpose has been, and shall continue to be, the preparation of our girls to excel in competitive fastpitch softball, and to do so in an environment that instills core values that can be extended from the ballfield to many aspect of life.

NYFA takes its mission very seriously and consistently dedicates organizational resources to the continual improvement of its program.  We have instituted a program development curriculum, which sets forth skill, strategy and life lesson objectives for players in each of our playing age groups.

In 2017, Northern York Fastpitch Association (NYFA) merged with Dillsburg Girls Softball Association (DGSA) bringing all softball in Northern York School District back together.   DGSA serves as the umbrella organization and NYFA is the travel arm.  Our organization's team name is Polar Elite.

NOTE: NYFA permits girls outside of the School District to attend open tryouts.
