Subscribe to our NewsletterWelcome to SPLL Challenger Division's 8th Season!
South Pasadena Little League is pleased to host the Challenger Division for all District 18 players. This division enables boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4-18 (or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school), to enjoy the game of baseball. The most fundamental goal of this division is to give everyone a chance to play and wear the same uniforms and safety equipment as other Little League players.
One of the benefits of having a Challenger Division is that is encourages the use of “buddies” for the Challenger players. The buddies assist the Challenger players on the field, but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. However, the buddy is always nearby to help when needed.
The Challenger Division runs concurrently with the other SPLL divisions, which is mid March to mid June.
Practices are held on Sundays, starting March 11th, from 4:30 - 6:00 at Orange Grove Park in South Pasadena.
Games are held against other Challenger teams from Sierra Madre, Pasadena, Santa Anita, and Covina.
Home games are played on Sundays from 4:30 - 6:00 in place of our practices.
Away games are held on Saturday mornings at Sierra Madre, Pasadena, Santa Anita, and Covina.
