PARADE GROUNDS UMPIRES ASSOCIATION

The Parade Grounds Umpires Association was organized in the early 1970's by the late Dan Liotta and the late Ross Quattro in order to unify a group of officials and help sandlot baseball in Brooklyn take on a professional look. Umpires have come and gone over the years and the organization has gone through many changes. We are the best dressed, best trained and most in demand group of umpires in the area. The PGUA is the Association that services all of Brooklyn and western Queens High School Baseball. We also service every age group from 9-10 year olds through college age ballplayers and above during the "summer leagues". We travel throughout the NYC area as well as Westchester and Nassau counties to officiate. The PGUA will continue to flourish under the current leadership. This leadership will work hard and for its members to keep our standards high and our name strong. We do this not only for the love of "the game" but for the fun we have while learning and teaching the skills needed to be  good umpires. Remember, it takes two to be a partnership.
