The purpose of the Accokeek Ravens is to implant firmly into the youths of our communities the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, commitment, courage and the drive for academic excellence so that they may develop into well rounded youths who will reflect credit upon themselves, their parents and their communities. Our purpose shall be achieved by providing a supervised, safety oriented Youth Tackle Football and Cheer Program within the state of Maryland.
The general objective of the Accokeek Ravens is to inspire youths regardless of race, creed or national origin, to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness. The specific objective of the Accokeek Ravens is to familiarize youths with the fundamentals of football or cheerleading and to provide an opportunity to participate in a supervised environment where the emphasis is on total participation and maximum safety of everyone.
Youth will be responsible for maintaining a minimum academic grade point average of 2.5.
