Oct 26-27  The Baseball Legends Halloween Bash.  7u Thunder wins again and improves their record to 7-0.  Thunder outscored their opponents 29-4 against Fountain Valley Faze (5-3), SC Colts (11-0), and the Long Beach Scrappers (13-1). Justin Ortega, Ryker Galvan and Brady Stull combined to give Thunder a big win in game 1 vs. Fountain Valley.  Reagan McCluskey shut down the SC Colts pitching 3 scoreless, hitless innings in game 2,  and Josh Springer impressed with his arm and his bat, throwing 3 scoreless innings in the championship against the Scrappers.  Springer also had a huge day at the plate and earned himself tournament MVP.  All of us coaches are extremely proud of all the boys and all the hard work they put in.  Also thank you to all the parents for all the support.

Chino Hills 7U Thunder Wins Season Opener

Our Thunder 7U 2013-14 season got started in Riverside playing in the Mo Val Dirt Bag fundraiser. We faced La Mirada Rebels twice pulling out two big wins (9-6) and (10-3) and a victory against Diamond Dawgs (5-4). This set the stage for our championship game against a very familiar team OC Elite whom game us one of our two loses last year. Seth Hernandez threw four flawless innings and Thunder pulled away late in the game to win our first championship of the year (10-1). We got great pitching throughout the tournament from Titan Truitt, Brady Stull, Alex Medyn, Justin Ortega, Chase Davidson, Ryker Galvan, Reagan McCluskey, Seth Hernandez and our closer Josh Springer. Coaches are extremely proud of all our boys for their hard work and efforts. Great job boys. Also want to send out a special thank you to all our supportive parents.

2014 So Cal Beast Winter Blast 7U Champions!

Thunder faced its toughest tournament this season facing SGV Hustle twice as well as tourney host So Cal Beast twice, improving their record to 23-0-1. Kids came out rusty from time off from the holidays but great pitching and timely hitting secured our 6th tournament win. Great pitching from Justin Ortega, Reagan McCluskey, Seth Hernandez and Josh Springer who was named tournament MVP. Great job boys. Thank you to all our coaches and parents.

THUNDER 8U supports So Cal Beast in their Winter Blast tournament and goes undefeated winning all 4 games. Thunder outscored their opponents 35-5 and faced a very good SGV Hustle team in the ship. Thunder dug deep, played great defense and pitched a 4 hit shutout with a final score of 3-0 for the championship. Hats off to their little brothers (7U) too as they also went undefeated winning the championship.

11U Thunder traveled to San Diego for the Xtreme Diamond Sports MLK Tournament.  Thunder went 5-1 enroute to the Championship.  Winning the Championship against Swagger Elite, 4-3.  Thunder played great all weekend! Thunder received great pitching all weekend from Daniel Barrera, Eligh Hidalgo, Ty Patrick, Micael Ramirez, Joshua Chang, and Trevor Morris.  Solid defense and a typical "grind it out" tournament from our catcher, Art Briones.  Offensively, Thunder was led by Daniel Barrera (.647), Ty Patrick (.500), Mayson Baez (.470), Joshua Chang (.438), and Eligh Hidalgo (.400).  Daniel Barrera and Eligh Hidalgo were named Co-MVP's!!  Special thanks to our parents, Coach Andy, and Coach Kevin.

THUNDER 8U goes undefeated at the TBL MLK Super NIT tournament last weekend with big playoff victories over the So Cal Outlaws and SGV Hustle in the ship. Clutch pitching and timely hitting got the boy’s rings and a birth to the TBL World Series in June. Thank you coaches & parents for the support and ultimately the players who do all the hard work on the ball field.
