The Travellers finished pool play 3-0, with wins of 11-0, 10-0, and 13-1, seeding 2nd. Game 1, ended early with the Travellers pounding the bats and a solid pitching performance, 10-0. The remainder of the game was filling with solid pitching and defense, with the Travellers squeezing an insurance run across and closing the game out, 5-3. The Travellers started slowly in the Final, with the game knotted at 1-1 through 4. Terrific play from the outfield allowed time for the bats to get going and the Travellers pulled away for an 8-2 victory. Solid pitching again all weekend and a relentless offensive attack brought home back-to-back tournament wins. We are extremely proud of the fight of these girls playing short again. #9strong. Thanks for a great weekend and representing the league.

The Talleyville Travellers 16U won the School’s Out Celebration in Quakertown, PA this past weekend June 2nd and 3rd. The Travellers finished pool play 2-1, as a result of a shortened game due to rain with a rally mounting. The loss inspired the team for Sunday bracket play that wanted a shot at redemption. The Travellers came out the gate on fire, putting 5 runs on the board in the top of the 1st and dominated offensively and defensively, capped with a Grand Slam - resulting in a 11-0 win. Game 3, had the Travellers up against a solid Force team in the Finals. The Travellers grinded a few runs out the first 3 innings for a 2-0 lead and broke it open with a 3-run home run in the 4th.
