About Team Scorpion

Team Scorpion is an all volunteer organization that relies on the involvement of all the parents in order to succeed. Team Scorpion is a USA Wrestling charter club and a member of the Western Washington Kids Wrestling League (WWKWL). Team Scorpion attained Gold Medal Club status through USA Wrestling in 2012.

Mission Statement

To promote interest in the sport of wrestling among parents, the youth and the communities of Stanwood and Camano Island, Washington, and to supervise, sponsor and financially assist a disciplined and competitive program of youth wrestling.

We will endeavor to develop in the members the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty and respect for authority and to stress the concepts of parents and children working and playing together in all club activities so that the family will be strengthened in the process.

The Wrestling Season

Team Scorpion competes in Folkstyle wrestling (Collegiate Style) from late October through the end of February. Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling (Olympic Styles) begins in early March and ends in May. For experienced wrestlers, Regional and National competition is in June.

Ages

Team Scorpion is a youth wrestling program for ages 5 through 18. Kids will be grouped by age and experience.
